During the initial Revit installation, the Configurable Folders panel allows you to alter the installation location of Revit content. There are three selections possible for each type of content.
| Default | Content is installed in default locations on the workstation. The content is removed if you uninstall the Revit application. |
| Local | Content is installed in a custom location on the workstation. The content is removed if you uninstall the Revit application. |
| Shared | Content is installed in the server. The content is not removed if you uninstall the Revit application, because it is being shared between multiple users. |
